Spring has sprung and it's time to celebrate National Library Week!
National Library Week is a time to celebrate libraries, library workers' contributions and promote library use and support. We love our Joplin Public Library and are excited to be supporting some of their most ambitious projects. For example, this month's "Joplin Reads Together" author visit from Shelby Van Pelt was paid in part for by Friends of the Library. We hope to continue this work throughout the rest of the year thanks to our Spring for a Book fundraiser.
You have three options to help celebrate this extra special week:
- Donate $25 for Friends to purchase a BOOK for the Library
- Donate $100 for Friends to purchase a STACK OF BOOKS for the Library
- Donate $250 or more for Friends to purchase a SHELF OF BOOKS for the Library
We are hoping to fill the front of the check out desk at the Joplin Public Library with paper representations of your donations, so please stop by the Library to fill out a paper book that represents your donation. We'd love to have you sign your name on the paper book, but if you'd rather be anonymous, we understand.
You are able to donate through this page (see above) or by mailing your check with "Spring for a Book" in the memo line to:
